It’s a shortwave, halogen-type infrared emitter, with a twin carbon fiber filament tucked inside a quartz tube. The whole point is simple: pack a lot of heat into a small space, and do it on the industrial voltages your setup demands.
Power, voltage, and size—without the fluff
This lamp runs at 2500W and is designed for 400V. That combination is exactly why you get serious infrared output from a short tube—about 300mm. The twin carbon fiber filament keeps resistance steady, and the response is quick. So you get fast thermal cycling without that sluggish lag you get from heavier, bulkier heaters. And the footprint? It stays out of your way. Overall length is around 300mm, and the tube is just 15mm in diameter. That gives you high watt-per-square-inch density—perfect when the spot you need to heat is tight. But here’s the reality check: 2500W in such a small package creates a lot of local heat. Your machine’s cooling and airflow have to be ready for that. Plan it early, and you won’t be troubleshooting it later.
What’s inside—and why it matters
Inside the quartz envelope, the halogen cycle helps keep output steady over the lamp’s life, and it reduces early filament burnout. Quartz was chosen for one big reason: it handles high temperatures and heats up fast. We also add a reflective coating to push more infrared energy forward. More energy lands on the target, and less gets wasted. For the connection, we use an R7s connector. It holds firm, lines up consistently, and makes swapping lamps quick—so downtime stays low.
