Carbon Infrared Heat Lamps: The Industrial Dryer That Just Gets It Done
We built these carbon infrared heat lamps for one simple reason: to dry things fast. Right where you need it, no fuss. These lamps throw intense shortwave radiation that sinks into the surface. Moisture gets pushed out fast, without turning the whole room into a sauna.
Power, Voltage, and Size: All About the Punch
They run on 400V and pull 2500W, all packed into a 300mm tube. That’s a lot of heat in a small space. The payoff? The target surface heats up quickly. The 300mm length keeps the heat focused in a tight spot, so you can set up a compact heating window right on the line. It’s direct energy—no wasted hot air.
The Build: Tough, Simple, Ready for the Grind
Inside, you’ve got a carbon filament inside a quartz envelope, with halogen gas. That combo keeps the filament steady at high temps and stands up to repeated heating and cooling. A reflective coating on the tube pushes more infrared forward, so you get more useful heat per watt. And the R7s connector? It’s straightforward and rugged. Wiring it up is clean and simple—just drop it into standard mounts and go.
Where It Shines—and What to Keep in Mind
On a drying line, this setup gives you serious heat flux in a small footprint. That means you can speed up the line without adding bulky equipment. The focused infrared profile is perfect for curing coatings and wiping away surface moisture on parts. One thing to note: that 2500W density packs a punch. You’ll want proper cooling and shielding to keep ambient heat in check and protect nearby components.
