Let’s Talk About the 1000W Carbon Fiber Infrared Emitters
We built the 750mm 1000W carbon fiber lamp for those moments when you can’t afford to wait for a heater to warm up, and you’re tired of replacing quartz halogen tubes every few months. By swapping in a carbon fiber filament inside a quartz envelope, we’ve managed to get the heat to sink deeper into your materials. The Nitty Gritty: Power and Fit With 1000W spread across 750mm, the heat is smooth. You won’t have to worry about those annoying hot spots ruining your workpiece. We went with the SK15 connector because it actually stays put. Industrial machines shake. A lot. This connector won’t just vibrate loose while you’re in the middle of a run. One quick tip: if you’re swapping this into an old rig, take a second to check your wiring gauge. Make sure those SK15 terminals are seated tight. If they’re loose, you’ll get arcing, and nobody wants that. Why Carbon Fiber? Here’s the thing about tungsten—it hates expanding and contracting. Carbon fiber is different. It handles that thermal stress way better, which means when you’re constantly flipping the power on and off, the lamp doesn’t just burn out. It lasts. Plus, it puts out medium-wave infrared. We chose this specifically so the heat goes into the material, not into the air around it. It’s just more efficient. Getting it Running For most of you, this is a simple drop-in replacement for your 750mm heaters. You’ll notice it hits temperature much faster. But, there is a catch. Carbon fiber doesn’t “behave” the same way as short-wave quartz. If you’re using a PID controller, you’ll probably need to tweak your gain settings. Because it reacts so quickly, you might find your temperatures overshooting the mark if your old settings are too aggressive. And please, do yourself a favor: keep your reflector polished. A dusty or dirty reflector is basically a waste of 1000W. Keep it shiny, and you’ll get the most out of it.
