
Let’s talk about our 1000W Carbon Infrared Heaters
If you’re dealing with a process that needs to get hot—and get hot fast—without heating up your entire workshop, these are for you. Most people are used to standard quartz heaters, but we do things a bit differently. We use a carbon filament. It changes the way the heat hits your target, pushing more energy into that medium-wave range where it actually does the heavy lifting. The power side of things 1000W is a lot of punch. We designed these to hit your target temps quickly. But here’s the trick: we carefully balance the wattage against the length of the tube. Why? Because if you cram too much current into a short tube, you get hotspots. And hotspots lead to burnouts. We make sure you get a nice, consistent strip of heat from end to end. Why carbon? Carbon filaments are interesting. They don’t need to get as scorching hot as tungsten to put out a ton of infrared energy. To keep them from oxidizing and dying, we wrap them in high-purity quartz glass. The quartz basically stays out of the way, letting the IR radiation pass through without soaking it up. One heads-up: these play nice with most industrial controllers, but you’ve got to keep your voltage steady. A big spike? That’ll kill the filament instantly. No warnings, just pop. Making it work in your shop For a lot of you, these are just a simple drop-in replacement for your existing drying or curing lines. They’re a dream if your materials love medium-wave radiation. Just keep in mind that 1000W creates a lot of concentrated heat. Your housing is going to get hot.Really hot. Make sure you’ve got your fans and ventilation sorted out. If you don’t, that heat will just soak into your machine frame and start eating away at your wiring insulation over time. These aren’t meant for idling at low power. Use them when you need fast cycles and raw power.
